BLOOMSBURG -- Bloomsburg University rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to post a 63-61 win over West Chester on Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Basketball Eastern Division game. The game was part of the Pink Zone and Coaches versus Cancer event, Huskies for Hope, to raise money and awareness of cancer research.

The Huskies jumped out to an early 11-6 lead in the game through the first six minutes of the game. West Chester rallied and slowly turned the five point deficit into a 28-20 lead at the break.

Bloomsburg came out fast to start the second half and tied the game at 35-all with 13:38 to play in the game on a three-pointer from Lauren Healy (Glenmoore/Owen J. Roberts). Leading the Huskies 15-7 run was Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) who scored seven points, including two, three-pointers.

West Chester went back in front by five points, 40-35, before another big run by the Huskies gave them their biggest lead of the game at 51-42. Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) scored eight straight points in a 16-2 run over a six-minute stretch as the Huskies defense held the Golden Rams scoreless for more four minutes of the rally.

The visitors though would come storming back and cut used a 10-0 run to go back in front, 52-51, with 4:51 to play in the game. But the Huskies got five points from Kegerreis and a three-pointer from Healy to lead by seven, 61-54 with 2:02 to play. As West Chester worked for a shot with time running down, Megan Stewart was fouled on a three-point shot with one second to play. After hitting the first two shots to get within a bucket, Stewart's attempt at a miss and rebound failed and the Huskies ran out the clock to get the win.

Kegerreis scored 17 points to lead the Huskies, while Healy scored 16 and Gallagher 12 points in the win. Dana Weems scored 19 points for the Golden Rams, while Renata Neal scored 11 points and Stewart 10.
